To win a round in Street Brawl, you need to destroy the enemy towers, and you’ll have to do it three times in a best-of-five match. The game kicks off in the middle blue lane, and switches to a different lane each round. Towers start as Guardians and transform into Walkers after a team loses two of them. This means the winning team might only have a Guardian, while the losing team has a Walker, making the final round tougher to win and creating the opportunity for a comeback.

At the beginning of each round, players receive three items, but their choices are limited and the options are random. Players are presented with random sets of items to choose from. After picking an item, the set disappears and moves to the next selection. If none of the items in a set look appealing, players get one re-roll per round for a chance at better items.
Some heroes are much stronger in Street Brawl than they are in Standard, which has led to Valve balancing the gamemode separately. If you want to know which heroes perform best, head over to our street brawl hero tier list.
Strong early game heroes as well as lane bullies are usually able to dominate the first few rounds of the match, but if they’re unable to end the game quickly, they may be outscaled by the 4th and 5th rounds.
Street Brawl is a fantastic casual gamemode with short matches, and it’s a great way to introduce friends to Deadlock without the more demanding mechanics and strategies that Standard requires, and we’re extremely happy that Valve added it.
